1. Post it on Instagram
Share a public photo, Reel, or moment from the show on your own Instagram account.
Were you there? Share the show from where you stood.
Post your photo, Reel, or live-music moment publicly on Instagram, tag @musicismentalmedia, and add #MIMMLive. Selected posts may be embedded in Music Is Mental Media show coverage after editorial review.
No file upload to MIMM is required.
How we handle public Instagram links: Privacy Policy.
Share a public photo, Reel, or moment from the show on your own Instagram account.
Tag @musicismentalmedia so we can find the post and understand that you want us to consider it.
Use #MIMMLive as the shared signal for live-music posts you want MIMM to consider for From the Room.
Nothing is added to the site automatically. MIMM chooses which posts fit a specific show, story, or gallery.
From the Room is built around approved embeds, not copied uploads.
If we select a post, the goal is to embed the original public Instagram post or Reel rather than download and re-host your photo or video. Your media remains hosted on Instagram and ownership stays with you.
Tagging @musicismentalmedia and using #MIMMLive tells us you would like that public post to be considered for embedding in MIMM coverage. It does not transfer ownership of your work to MIMM.
If your original post becomes private, is removed, or is otherwise unavailable on Instagram, the embed may stop appearing on MIMM as well.
The things that a single review can miss.
Artist, crowd, room, venue, atmosphere, opener, encore, or the strange little moment that stayed with you.
A chorus, crowd reaction, B-stage moment, live arrangement, or song that became something different in the room.
Public Instagram Reels that help preserve what the show felt like, not just what the setlist says happened.
An opening act, angle, detail, or memory that adds another perspective to MIMM’s coverage.
If one of your Instagram posts appears in From the Room and you no longer want it included, contact MIMM and we will review the request.
