Mumford & Sons at Rogers Arena
Mumford & Sons opened the North American leg of the Prizefighter Tour in Vancouver with a big, communal, singalong-heavy arena set that moved from quiet folk tension into full-room release.
Review
The show felt like a band remembering how much power there is in communal release. The early run moved fast: “Babel,” “Little Lion Man,” and “White Blank Page” pulled the room backward into the band’s earliest emotional vocabulary, while the Prizefighter material gave the set a rawer, more lived-in present tense.
The center of the night was connection. “Here,” with Sierra Ferrell joining in, gave the show its clearest bridge between opener and headliner. Later, the B-stage run turned the arena smaller, softer, and more human before the encore pushed everything back outward.
By the time “I Will Wait” arrived, the room was less watching than participating. It was not just nostalgia. It was recognition: of songs people had carried for years, and of new ones still finding their place.
